Ice dams and water backup at the eaves
Why it happens here
Northern Kentucky winters swing above and below freezing repeatedly. Heat leaking from under-insulated attics melts snow on the upper roof, and it refreezes at the cold eaves, forming a dam that pushes water under the shingles. North-facing slopes in Tower Park are the worst.
Our approach
We install ice and water shield at the eaves and in valleys, then check your attic insulation and ventilation to stop the melt cycle at the source. If you already have a dam, we remove it without damaging the shingles and repair any water damage underneath.
